Pete Thistle

Pete Thistle is the owner/broker of San Diego City Life Real Estate and has aimed to master every aspect of real estate. Pete’s ability to listen and really understand his client's needs assures that he exceeds his client’s expectations. Pete’s professional and personable character allows him to maintain and build solid relationships. Much of Pete's real estate business has developed from repeat clients and referrals.

On a personal note, Pete was born in 1968 and raised in the great granite state of New Hampshire. He grew up with his younger brother, Paul who also practices real estate practice in Northern Virginia. Pete graduated Pennsylvania State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate. He has lived in Downtown San Diego for the past 16 years and has a strong passion for traveling, running marathons, music and film.

Before settling in Downtown San Diego, Pete lived in Washington DC, Cary, North Carolina and Sausalito, CA. Pete has been a Downtown San Diego Condo owner in the Marina neighborhood where he was one of the first home owners in Horizons. Pete has also owned condos in Pinnacle and Icon. He now resides in the East Village’s Fahrenheit where he works from a live/work loft unit. San Diego City Life Real Estate's street level office is conveniently located around the corner from Petco Park and a short walk away from the vibrant Gaslamp district.

Pete served as President of the Horizons Home Owners Association from 2004 through 2006, Chairman of the Fahrenheit Architectural Committee from 2005 to 2006 and as HOA board Secretary at Pinnacle from 2008-2010. Pete previously worked directly with the developers of M2i, Fahrenheit, ICON, The Mills at Cortez Hill, El Cortez, and Vantage Point as a direct lender for two prominent lenders from 2004 through 2007.

Sofia Martin

Sofia Martin dove straight into the real estate industry where she ran her own real estate company based in Sweden for 5 years. Born and raised in Sweden, Sofia took the opportunity to move to the United States in 2004 with a goal to get a first-class education. After attending real estate classes in Atlanta, GA as well as at Hofstra University in Long Island, NY she decided to make the move to San Diego to attend San Diego State University.

With a one way ticket and two fully loaded suitcases, Little Italy in Downtown San Diego was the first stop after arrival. It is here she gained interest and grew to love the walkability of this small scale downtown area and the distinct feel of the various neighborhoods. Sofia gained her Bachelor degree in Real Estate and has been a real estate broker in Downtown San Diego since 2008.

Sofia married a native San Diegan and is living with her husband Robert and daughter Isabella (2 years old) in the southernmost city, Imperial Beach with a coastal commute of 15 min from Downtown. Her passion involves being with her beautiful daughter and family, walks on the beach, travel, and occasional disc golfing.
