The Marina District in Downtown San Diego tend to have some of the most desirable and wanted homes among buyers of Downtown San Diego Real Estate. This luxury neighborhood has the best of what Downtown San Diego has to offer. You will in the Marina find a mixture of medical offices, retail structures, apartment building, luxury hotels, public parks, the San Diego Convention Center and condo communities. The location is ideal as you have the waterfront to the southwest, the vibrant Gaslamp District filled with restaurants and shopping to the east and the Columbia District and the Santa Fe Train Station to the north. They call the Marina District the “walker’s paradise”. Many walkways and nice tree lined streets makes it easy and enjoyable for pedestrians and bikers to explore the neighborhood.
A total of 49 Marina Condos and Lofts were sold during January to April of 2014. This is a little bit lower compared to the same time frame the year before (2013) where 60 homes were sold. Most sales went to Renaissance (8 sales). Pinnacle was not too far behind with 7 sales. Horizons and Park Place had six transactions each. Cityfront Terrace, Park Row and Columbia Place had each four homes sold. Harbor Club sold three units, 235 on Market, Atria and Watermark sold two and last Crown Bay had one sale.
